.ASIA Registry Goes Live Tonight! - 26/03/2008 00:00

The .ASIA registry is scheduled to go live at 11pm (AEST) tonight. This means the start of normal registration services for .asia domains (first in, first served). DistributeIT is accepting applications now and will process them at the registry as soon as it opens. With over 500,000 applications already received during the Sunrise and Landrush phases, .ASIA is destined to be one of the biggest namespaces and we encourage all resellers to consider domains in this important new name space.

Our Domain Name Registrar partner, Distribute IT, has been appointed as a .ASIA reseller in Australia, so we now also have access to this domain TLD.

Full policies and eligibility requirements can be found at http://www.dotasia.org/policies.html, but in short, the primary contact for any .ASIA domain needs to be in the Asian region (i.e. an address that is in 'Asia' as defined by the United Nations). Australia falls within this definition.

Pricing for .asia domains is now AUD$45 +GST per year. To register, simply login to your reseller account and follow the usual registration steps.
