Re Server status 'Uptime' change for August - 19/08/2008 19:36

We have noticed that one of our status monitoring sites recently downgraded our 'Uptime' statistics (the amount of time that our servers are available to the world). This monitoring service reported that one of our servers was down for some 20 hours.

Obviously this concerned us, so we have investigated and have confidence that clients shouldn't have any concerns. The turned out to be the result of a misconfiguration on a new feature on our homepage (which co-incidentally was about reporting new announcements).

Importantly, our servers, sales site, support site and hosting control panels continued to operate as normal. Most importantly, all of our clients websites were unaffected.

However, even though our services were completely unaffected, unfortunately this error skewed our 'Uptime Statistics' backward by 0.5% to 99.31%.

 

We will of course continue to monitor these and other statistics, in order to give you confidence that we bring to you the best in marketing, hosting, web design and support services for your small business.
